I found out tonight that one of the home school families in my group son died today. His little sister was at the Spanish review class at 11 am and it was right after the class that her mom found out about it. Please keep this family in your prayers.

I personally think this is very interesting and hope some of you may do so. There seems to be in the wider stream of people not a great understanding of PTSD /severe depression or rather some stigma associated with it, which in my opinion is just due to a lack of knowledge. People sometimes use terms which are inappropriate which only go to show their lack of understanding and knowledge.

We haven't done one of these in a while, and I always learn so much from these types of posts. We all know that pain is a constant for most of us, but how we deal with it sometimes makes all the difference in the world.
What do you do when the meds aren't working? How do you "cope"?

For me, diversion is most often my coping tool.....If i can get involved in something like computer graphics or a movie I can forget the pain, at least for a little while....

I'm so upset! I went to my docs appointment today.I was hurting so bad the receptionist asked me if I was going to be ok.One of the nurses even gave me a bottle of water- she told me she didn't want to see me pass out from dehydration because I was breathing so hard from the pain. So, the PA comes in, and asks me to get up on the exam table.When I stepped up on the footrest, it wasn't in place very well, and it dropped about an inch- I almost screamed because it hurt so...

It is only half a year since last time. The right shoulder. All it took was laying down in the sun in the backyard. He wasn't even sure first. But the pain and how it looked like made him sure pretty fast.

Of course it happened in the middle of rush hour. I could not get hold of any taxi and no one in the family could get here because of the traffic jam. My oldest son finally took him to the hospital.
