Fibro and college?? anyone have help

SO I'm a senior this year. and I'm beginning to doall the fun looking for college and universities. But with my fibro I have special needs. like needing a stable environment, I have food allergies, some days I feel completely horrible. how do I deal with schools all on my own, and roomates who don't understand.. anyone have any advice or info and will be greatly appreciated!

Highest Chronic Pain Award

On July 2, 2009, one of the highest awards ever given for chronic pain and fibromyalgia syndrome was awarded to Singer, Kwinter client Diane Degennaro. Degennaro was awarded $3.5 million in damages and interest, totaling near $4 million, at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice before Justice R. Gray last April in Milton Ontario. This will demonstrate to the insurers, the public and the legal system the severity of this disability and it's implication on future judgments.

Hey. So I'm new here, but not knew to Fibro. Got diagnosed back in oct 08 however, I've been having symptoms for as long as I can remember.

I'm 21, had to quit my well paying job and now I work part time. I'm Canadian, and really I'm just on these boards to shout out to other people who suffer with this disorder.

I'm nineteen years old and have suffered from worsening chronic pain for the last ten years. It started with mononucleosis, but a year later I was still having the same symptoms. I'd gone to Wisconsin, and apparently contracted Lyme disease sometime when I was camping there. DePaul University now offers a degree for college students who are struggling with chronic illnesses with "waxing and waning" symptoms. It is a degree that allows a student to be inactive for multiple quarters, there is no minimum class requirements per quarter, it can be earned all online, etc. Very interesting and worth looking at!

Is there life out there?

I am preparing to move into my new place. That is the big news on this end. We are slowly going to start moving things in and the move will be permanent in mid August. Very exciting and nervewracking all in one!

School starts the end of september. I'll officially be a junior! Such a dream come true.
