Hi, I don't know if I wrote you before. I am 63 and have had this horrible pubic pain for over a year. I have had lots ot PT, chiro, accupunture, meds. I just don't know where to turn. It hurts so badly 24-7 and I can't sit for over 2 minutes. The pain is the worst in the front but, radiates to my hips, coxxyc. If I touch my pubic bone it is very sore. Do you know of anything else I could try?

It came as a suprise when I heared from a friend about pelvic dislocation after delivery.

Hi igarfy and welcome to the board. Sorry about your pain. I can't offer much of advice. My problems are in the back joints. Sounds like you have had the scans and treatments that are available for you, but maybe someone have something else to recommend? They have taken all the scans. What they say is that my pubic bones are not in place. They are cocked. I have taken every form of PT and shots and every med. Nothing helps and with the fibro and this pubic pain it is horrible

It sounds like you are suffering from sitting disability. Has your doctor taken an MRI of your spine? If you don't have any prolapse or anything concerning your spine, maybe you can get help from a chiropractor? But you need to ask your doctor about that.

Norwegians often have help from exercising in a hot pool.

I havent had any children for 29 years and now since I have really bad pain. At first it would come and go (always starting in the summer months).
Now last May It started up again and has not stopped. I have had injections, physical therey, accupunture and nothing helps. It hurts so bad all the time.
I cannot sit for over 15 minutes. I have been told now that my pubic bones are cocked out of alignment and they won't stay. Please I need help.

Pelvic pain/hip pain is unfortunately something that occurs during pregnancies. The pregnancy hormones loosen the ligaments around the pelvic joints to enable the baby to pass through the birth canal during delivery.

The pain comes from the loosened joints moving more than normal, thus causing inflammation and cramping in the muscles and occasonally disturbing the alignment of the bones in the joints. How much these ligaments loosen and how much pain this give is individual. Most...

Like you I had no problems during my 1st (and consequently only) pregnancy. But IF I did, I would certianly would discuss this with my doc at length. You shouldn't have to "Endure" anything if you don't think it is normal.....and we are, after all, the foremost authority on our bodies, eh?

I'm currently in the 27th week of my 2nd pregnancy, and I'm from America. Since I was about 4 months along or so I've been having a lot of chronic pain in my hips, lower abdomen, and groin. For the most part it felt like pulled muscles, but as time passed it never got better. If anything, it has just been getting worse. If I move in ANY way that forces me to move my hips then it's extremely painful. Most of the time I cannot stand up or walk without someone helping...

I hope you don't mind me joining you all. Mosken, I live in Norway too (in Oslo) however I am not from here.

Lori, I can relate to a good bit of your story although it did not start with me till about week 30 or so and was just swollen feet no real pain and at that time she suggested jogging shoes. From there it on it progressed very rapidly and four weeks later (during holy week) it was clearly full blown SPD and very sever from. She did not have enough time...
