i hate to say this, but i was in severe pain for abotu 4 weeks after it.. hang in there!! only the really lucky people feel better shortly after the procedure. hopefully after the pain is through, a huge improvment will be made with your initial problem

i have told the doc about my pain, and he prescribed tramadol, a stronger pain killer for me. I am now taking this pain killer and it has no effect on the pain on side of my head at all... Apart from being sore and burning it is stinging and to be honest im really fed up with it hurting so much. Dont know how much more i can put up with this... Its been 2 weeks and 2 days since i had the radio frequency. Should i still be having this pain?

i had that procedure done on the upper part of my cervical spine just about a year ago. it was unfortunately unsuccessful, as my surgeon just couldn't get the correct spot.. he tried over and over but i couldn't handle any more so he stopped. i didn't have a burning sensation like you are experiencing, but the back of my skull was extremely sensitive, even though it was "numb" from losing some nerves. Didn't the clinic tell you about side effects the first weeks? All kind of RF treatments use puls, but not all of them use heat. I know it is more short-term side effects when using heat. But you really should tell the doctor about your experience. It can be an infection, although I don't think it happens often.

I had radio frequency on my neck at the side a week ago. As expected the area where the needles went in is a little bruised but getting better by the day. But 2 days after having this done I started to feel a burning sensation in the back of my head on the side the treatment was done. Its got to the point now where my head is so sore on this area I can barely touch it. Is this normal? I have not contacted my consultant yet, but it hurts so much I cant lay on that area properly. thanks 'shine--more than I can say--there must be something in all this that will be of help to my son

they(dr's)have essentially told him that he's such a bad risk that they wont even consider and op until he's in a wheelchair anyway from the pain

Hi I just had the procedure done on nov 25th and i am still having either side effects form the shots or they didn't work. I really don't know what's going on with them. Anyone's advice will be appreciated
