Posts: 40 08/05/08 09:11 Canada	Tags : None My youngest son is the joy of my life. I love all 3 my sons, but my youngest son is my micacle child. At age 9 he got a sty in his eye. After having it treated several times, it was discovered that he had cancer, lucemia. He was so close to death I begged God to spare him. He went into remission and has been in perfect health since. He is now about to turn 19 :D Two months ago he had pnomina. Now he has a sty. The type of lucemia he had has a VERY high rate of returning or coming back as another type of cancer. He had LMS. I pray this is not cancer coming back!! Please pray it's not the cancer again. ((hugs))

Meanwhile, please try not to stress too much.I know how hard that is, but the stress will do no one any good, until your son knows for sure what's going on. Keep your thoughts positive as much as possible, and hopefully, it will turn out to be nothing more than a typical sty.

Posts: 1674 08/05/08 11:05 Insomniac USA	Siabhra- as a mom of 2 teenage sons with chronic illness- I understand how easy it is when symptoms reappear that you begin to worry, however, like Sherry says- it's not going to help or change the situation. My are with you and your son- and trusting God in the midst of our children's severe illnesses is one of the hardest times to trust Him. However, He will see you through no matter what it is- like He did when your son was diagnosed. Keep the faith, hang in there and know that we are here for you- will pray for you and will support you no matter what the road ahead brings.

Posts: 1479 08/06/08 14:33 USA	I will be praying for your son that his cancer has not come back. I know it is such a worry. My husband of almost 39 years had diffuse large cell non Hodgkins lymphoma when he turned 60 and went through a very aggressive series of treatments. He was in remission for 2 1/2 years then last year the cancer came back, but it is the slow growing form that is not curable but can be managed. Every 3 months he has a CT scan to check on it and he had one yesterday. Next week we go to his oncologist to see the results which always worries me, but amazingly not him. He says he gives it to God and lets it go. I try but it is really hard. They are really close to a cure for many cancers so hopefully if it is cancer they can cure it. sue in ohio
