Great pic, Mark
I really enjoy seeing pics of everyone's life and what they do, thanks for sharing this moment. Can just imagine you cycling through those pretty woods. Must make you feel so good out in the fresh air like that. I wonder if you have bluebells in the woods at this time of year ... ?

Have fun, Mark. You look great! I've not been on a bike in...let's see....feels like forever and more. Can't remember I ever have put my adult behind on one of those seats. So I don't miss bicycling, but the freedom part of it I would give a million to meet with again.

for a moment there i thought that was you filming yourself!! LOL.....had to watch a bit before i decided it was not....got an awful sore throat and just having a hot drink.....feeling pretty miserable...but that sure made me laugh...looks great fun and i am sure the lads would be non stop on it. all the time..especially on their bmx bicycles.....they already do jumps and stunts without any assistance so i could imagine that very well..but just a short way on there and i would be on a stretcher ![]() laid out the rest of the year

I tried jumping a ramp in the woods on the wrong kind of bike once and fell over. I was too scared to go for air after that even once i had a good mountain
bike. I used to like riding single track though.
Now I have a road bike that's built for women my size, 5'2" and is very comfortable and fast and i hope to get out on our trails soon. That's a cool pic of you Mark and I like that video. I agree that biking is way easier than walking. |

Hi fogggyrl,
thanks for your compliments! ... I sort of envy your experience of jumping a ramp--maybe one day, I'll get a chance ... Mark

Mark, what a beautiful place to use your bike.
I use my bike almost every day during the parts of the year without snow. Sometimes it is from Last in March until December. I don`t have any woods to use my bike in but my town is as flat as a board , so I am able to use my bike to shop and do all other necessary things. I don`t use my care if I am not going to get something really big or heavy stuff. I also try to use it if it is raining but hard winds sometimes stops me. I have got three baskets on my bike. One in the front and two behind me. It is an really "old Auntie" bike, but who cares, I love it. I do really envy you the woods Mark, I really do

If i was young i would definetely do that...there used to be a lane near us called Dickie Harpers Lane it stretches couple of miles, all hills up and down, the
type your stomach lurches if in a car, as kids we would go to the top and bomb down full pelt.....Lads think it is wicked...the video,(that means excellent)
they have stunt bikes BMX...which always seem to be going in the air....they lift them up somehow...i just pedal slowly...
while they whiz round me....

Hi Lisbeth,
I did most of my travel by bicycle when I lived in New York City, so I'm used to doing what you do now ... it's so cool to not need gas or a (real) parking space when you can bicycle into (or out of) town. Hi Julie, I did a lot of the same sort of stuff that you did in your youth (and your lads do now) on my bike ... it's kind of funny how the word "wicked" is used by almost everyone in the New England (section) of the States (which includes Rhode Island and Maine) but it's not used anywhere else in the States ... back in the 70's, I had two co-workers from New England (one from from Rhode Island and the other from Maine) and they would both say "Really WICKED" whenever either one (or both) thought that something was really very cool (to do, see, or hear).

Looks great, you are inspirational. I bought a reclining trike when I couldn't keep balance on my bike and couldn't sit up either, but I have let it
languish. You are right, it is bike season, I must get it out! Thank you.

When winter is here I just wait and wait for springtime again to use my bike. I feel so free when I can use it and I do not use the care if don`t have to. Just very strong winds and things to bring home which is too big can tempt me to use the car when I have errands around town. Tiddelidi |

Cool bike Lisbeth! ... thanks for sharing a picture of it! I once had a street bike with three gears and manual braking AND it did what it was supposed to do
... the manual braking maximized rear cargo space by not having as many cables in the way ... I hope that Spring comes soon, so that you run your errands
around town on your bike. Mark :-)
