Beaver (that would be are medical group) is full of incompetent nitwits. they went from three neurologists to one . so my app won't be until November 5th
.
 oh they'll see if they can refer me out .but it would take just as long Given

November 5th--ugh! If only appts. could be put in some kind of order of where one is on the pain and inability to function scale! Caitlie I'm sorry

I understand my regular doc only finds the time to see me if I'm either in
the hospital or just coming home from the hospital!! If I'm silly enough to call for an appointment they give me a date at least 4 months away .... I'm
sorry to see you go thru this kind of crap ...

Please hang in there, Cait. Don't lose hope. Try to see if raising a ruckus with the management there will get you referred out quickly so you can
get help sooner than that. There should be a law against this sort of thing.....

I'm so sorry you have to deal with idiots like that.The medical system here is SO screwed up.Of course, when it's the insurance companies calling the
shots, instead of doctors and patients,it's all about what's best for THEM, and patient care be damned.
You might try a little trick my neighbor had to use when her son was little.Her insurance was doing the same kind of thing, so she called them and told them" Look, you guys can either do what it takes to get him referred to someone NOW- or we can just go to the emergency room every time I feel he needs to go- which is about once a week.WHich you YOU prefer to handle?" They had a referral for her son within a couple of weeks.And it was a good thing,too- it turned out her son had Lyme disease. |

Caitlin has had a migraine for 3 1/2 weeks now. I'm in the process of trying to get her referred out of our Dr group to neurology or pain management. I am very frustrated, concerned, at wit's end. These people must have never seen their own child suffering.Sharon

I took Caitlin in to extented care and they gave Dilaudid 2mg and Vistaril 50 mg. Hopefully this will help her and knock out that migraine.

I agree about the nitwits. I hope the migraine has responded. I had many decades of bad migraines and can really sympathize.
