Hello... KingsMom pointed me to this board, so I thought I'd say hi. 
I've been having awful neck pain for over a year and a half, and it keeps getting worse. I've been to two different chiropractors, and a couple of doctors. I've been reading up, and knowing that KM was found to have Lyme that was causing her Fibro, I found a LLMD about an hour from me, who also specializes in Fibro and seems to want to really work with patience, so I'm going to check him out. Appt isn't until June 15 but I can wait.
I was feeling rotten about 3 weeks ago so went to my family doctor. I asked her to test me for Lyme (western blot) and Mono. The Lyme came back negative, the Mono came back positive. Oh that reminds me I want to get copies of my test results need to fax them... anyway from what I've read online, tho, 50% of regular Western Blots can come back as false negatives? I have a test kit from Igenex for Lyme but it's expensive and I don't think my insurance will cover it, so will talk to the new MD next month. He is, fortunately, covered on my insurance. Even though he uses some holistic methods that would not be covered.
My passion is doing dog sports with my dogs, and I feel so awful after a weekend of flyball or agility. It can take me two or three days to recover. And for the last couple of weeks, I've been going up and down but I haven't been able to feel better yet. My regular doc seems to want to treat all my symptoms as separate. I've been having knee pain since about February, when I bend down my knees are so sore it's hard to stand back up. And I'm only 42!! I also have a fever off and on, my neck hurst and it's been radiating out into my skull, shoulders, and upper back. My memory is rotten, though it's been that way for a long time, I think. LOL... I forget what I've told people and end up telling them the same thing four or five times... or not at all, because I think I told them already. When I sleep I have such LOUD dreams they drive me nuts. I used to be able to sleep like a rock through anything. But lately I swear I dream most of the night and hardly sleep at all, if that makes any sense. I'm tired all the time, which I know is a stymptom of the Mono (Epstein-Barr Virus) but geez, I really am tired of being... tired! And I think, because of my neck, dreams, and general aches and pains, that something is behind this Mono.
Anyway that's me in a nutshell. I see the moderator is in Norway, seen any Danish Swedish Farmdogs? I'm looking into getting one, they are pretty rare in the US.
They are more common in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and
Norway.
