Posts: 20143 08/11/02 14:06 Co-Founder	This has some really nice fonts, including little fairies and dodads to embellish TEXT:[click on Freebies to the left and then fonts] www.faery-magic.com/ Download a free winzip from a Winzip site,[find on Google]I use the Winzip Wizard. Its fast. then Left click on the font I want from this site...that says download here... ....open the file. Just keep saying open/yes/next until the file is unzipped for you and you see the file icon. Make a folder for fonts on your desktop, drag the new icon to the folder file you just opened on your desktop to store them in. When done unzipping and dragging the ones you like to your new folder, go to: Control Panel click on Fonts folder [your computers original font folder] drag each font [icon] , one at a time in to that Fonts folder. You can also double click on a Text Font icon that you unzipped, and open it before dragging it to your font file, to see if you really want it [some of them look amazingly alike] There you are! Next time you will find them in your text box. [windowsME has the font folder in a different place, but W98, 2000, XP and most computers have it in your control panel].

Posts: 41873 01/08/03 16:36 Mosken ezOP Board Owner Norway	How to make transparent background: www.designedtoat.com/pspgifs.htm How I make a transparent image in PSP7: 1.Open up a "new image", transparent background 2.Stamp on the tubes I want (I often use to add text after this: Click T, then just add the text and use the inner bevel on effects) 3.Go to "effects", then "sharpen", then "Unsharpen mask" 4.Save by click File 5.Export Gif optimizer Check Box for "Existing image or layer transparency" Go to Partial Transparency Check box for "use full transparency for pixels below" Check box for "yes, blend with the background color" If I know the background will be a post at Friends, I use the light color #F5F5DC (If I am making a banner for Friends dark forest background, I use a dark green background If I am making something for the dark background in young adult forum or Norwegian forum: dark background) Go to colors Check the box for "Optimized Octree" If I don't want to go through the wizzard to reduce bytes, Click "ok". If I do go through the wizzard: Check box for "use excisting transparent areas" Make the color box same as your background will be Check box "No, use the best colors" Save as a gif Since many of you have Animation shop and not photo shop, I will describe how to make transparent background in Animation shop: 1. Open up your image, 2. Click Edit..select all..., 3. Click animation.. replace color..click old color spot... 4. Go to your image and you will see the eye dropper 5. Click on the background color...then at the bottom of the replace color box it says.."with" and you click on transparent opacity 6. Click ok and save image as gif. Here is a screen shot of the settings: pixelartbyjoyce.com/pspqu...tips9.html Drop shadows don't do well on transparent backgrounds. Then you have to blend the background color, which is difficult to achieve, sometimes. [when you try to blend partial trasparent into transparent backgrounds] You can also make your siggy in PSP, Go to Edit in PSP and Copy, then open Animation, Edit/Paste as a New Animation, then "Save as" in File. That I have good luck with, in saving clean transparent background pics or siggys.

Her masks are in .jpg format, so you need to save them to a file where you will remember where they are!! Then what you need to do to use them as masks is this: 1. Open the file 2. Click on "Masks" (on task bar), "New", "From Image" 3. A New popup box appears that says "Add mask from image", make sure source window says "this window", and you have checked "source luminance", everything else should not be checked. Click OK 4. Mask will now be gray and white. 5. Click "Masks" (on task bar), "Save to disc" 6. A new popup window appears, name the mask, then make sure the file extention is .msk, I found it helps to actually type the file extension on the file name. The "Save As Type" box should say "PSP Mask Channel (*.Msk). 7. Click Save, and you're done!! Now I'll have to put up a simple tutorial for using masks... Have fun!!

Make sure when you merge it, that you merge as MERGE VISABLE. If you use MERGE FLATTEN it won't work. Then use your Gif Optimizer and put it to websafe colors and slide the dial down just a notch or so.

Choose PSP when the list pop up The tube open in PSP. Click file export Picture tube pick a name Click OK. 2. Another way of installing if you don't need to look at the tube first.. My computer C lokal disk Program files Jasc Software PSP Open the tube folder. Place the folder with your downloaded tube beside your tube folder on your desk top. Left click on the tube icon, hold and drag the icon over to the tube folder.
