online jobs? |

does anyone up here have a work at home online job? i've been looking online for jobs that you can do at your home like online, since i'm always sick
there's really no way i can go out and get a regular job so i was thinking about trying to find some online work at home jobs, but all that i've found
so far seem to be scams. i just need something i can do to keep me occupied or get my mind off of things like not feeling well...i just need something to do
period. being stuck at home all the time is having it's major down momments and i don't have much to keep me occupied at all, so that makes it worse. i
was thinking about trying to file for disability but i've heard about it being very hard to get, and i've also heard that a lot of judges don't
think CFS is a disease that's it just a symptom

Hi Christin! First of all, sending you hugs!!!
It's really hard to have so little energy - I know, because I have CFS too.
I think it's really important that you not isolate yourself. It's good that you're striving to make some contact with the outside world and have some little flexible activities to keep your mind active. I've had to struggle with that a lot. You MUST apply for Social Security Disability Insurance and learn more about it. You're so young and probably don't have much of a work history because of it so you might not qualify, but I recommend that you do some online research. There's a whole forum here on it: http://sunshine35446.yuku.com/forums/70/t/American-Social-Security-Disability-SSDI.html You can read all about it there. It is possible for people with CFS to get SSDI - I know a number who have. (I am having a heck of a time with it, but I am just unlucky in this.) You're right - a lot of online jobs are scams. I'm glad you've been able to see that. You might want to consider volunteering if you're just looking for something to keep your brain busy, and not worried about money. Volunteering a small number of hours - 1 here and 1 there - can be a lot more flexible. There should be a volunteer center in your area - just look it up on Google. They will have complete listings of things to do. Maybe one or two of them might work for you! Getting involved in an online community like this one is a good way to pass the time, too. You can reply to other people's posts and offer them support. Sometimes helping others can take your mind off your own troubles for a bit. O.k., I'm getting tired here. Maybe some other folks have ideas, too? |

Hello There, Christin,
A lot of online job offers are scams as you so rightly say. If it is something to help fill your time (and take your mind off feeling ill) that you are looking for, then have you considered making your own Website about something that specifically interests you? There is a lot of pleasure to be gained by creating and maintaining a website about something that is very dear to your heart and then sharing it with the world. There are probably more, but I know of two of our members at Friends, Jaxkit (Jazzie) and Elly Sketchit (Elly) who have both made beautiful websites that are all about their talents and interests. You don't have to have great technical abilities to do this. There are free Website Creation programs that you can download from the Internet that can get you started. Here's one: www.blockstar.com It's completely free with free hosting as well. But because it is free, there are ads. If you want your site to be ad-free then it is $3.95 a month. That's all I can think of I'm afraid. It's a tough one! Good luck .... I hope you are able to find something that helps ...

because I usually always don't feel good and I just don't want to ruin it for anyone else just because I don't feel good you know. I always find
that my moods change like crazy, one minute I'm fine and happy and then the next I'm just frustrated and upset because I don't feel good.
