(Send me a PM if you want my Skype or Yahoo ID) This board was actually built while using headsets between California and Oslo! :-) A few weeks ago I ordered my headsets through Amazon, but I chose Seller: pc_small, just scroll down here: (the price is 7 USD, but I think they sold them for 5) www.amazon.com/exec/obido...96-0529511 You don't need any special phone, just a cheap headset, see the link! This is how it looks like: You don't need any software to use a headset. You just; 1. order it or buy one in a computer store. Make sure it has a mic. 2. Plugg it into the green and white/red ports/jacks on your PC. 3. Dowload MSN, Yahoo, Skype or whatever you use. 4. Start using it! A few times I have experienced that people need to change their setting in their audio and sound devices from speakers to headphones. That is all! And except from buying a cheap headset, it is free! Posts: 261 04/09/07 23:23 Ma Sackett	Is this the one that talks from computer to computer? My son is leaving for China so we bought him a vonage phone that hooks into the computer. We have one already so it means he can call us from wherever he is and it will be free. I have been debating out getting the headphone for the computer since then our other son could call from his home which is long distance and it would save him some money. I love to talk to my grandchildren but they are not always available when I call so if they could call over the computer it would be the best of two worlds. Let me know how it works for you please.

I will put my adress into my profile as soon as I am ready. Maybe tommorrow evening. Hopefully it will be working. I do have to use MSN ore Skype because YAHOO and windowsMSN has made big crashes for me before when I had both on the computer and forgotten to switch of YAHOO when I used MSN. I just today managed to figure out how to use my webcam and I got it 4 months ago !I'd love one of those head sets . I have a thing from a IM site called Skype for 30.00$ a year i get unlimited long distance . But you have to make calls useing the PC so the head set is just what I'm looking for . I wish I could use it to talk to you now .... I'll go to Amazon and check it out but it'll be next month before I can buy it ...

Posts: 2539 06/06/07 12:10 USA	My last set of headphones was stolen by my daughter to use with her cd player,when the headphones that came with it died.Unfortunately, I haven't remembered to replace them.Maybe this post will remind me to tell my hubby not to let me forget to replace the darn things. It would be great to talk to more of you guys.As it is,I use IM a lot, but some days, the typing really bothers me(especially in the winter, when it's cold).I defnitely need to get a complete headset this time, though.Maybe that will keep others in my family from stealing them for thier cd players.

Maby on of the moderators or Mosken. They can do it without replay. But I think it is very important information because when you cant use your hands so much this is a good second choice. Posts: 41873 11/22/07 09:05 Mosken ezOP Board Owner Norway	I'm looking in to a better headset to use with my Dragon. Until now, all expensive headsets have been terrible and I had to throw them away. However, I found this special website for people using Dragon. Thanks to a special friend in the US, I will try to buy one they recommend for Dragon. For chatting, it is not necessary to buy anything expensive.

Posts: 2539 01/31/08 12:57 USA	Thanks for bumping this up.I STILL haven't replaced my headset-maybe this weekend,I'll be able to do it.I love to chat, but sometimes it's hard to keep my hands going.I was ALWAYS on when I was using voice chat( with headphones) but I don't like doing voice chats with just the speakers-too much feedback, and my kids in the background getting loud, hoping to be noticed by whoever I'm chatting with drowns out the entire conversation. If the computer were in a different room, it might help, but it's in the living room, where the temptation to get loud is irresistable to my youngsters(including the 16 year old).
