Mosken, this is what I suffered from for years. I used to work in a warehouse/office and used a tape gun to seal boxes. I used one for 11 years and I had
tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand, both types of RSI.
I tried witch hazel, which cooled the hot areas: then I tried special straps for the hand and physio: then acupuncture. No good. Then my doctor sent me to see a consultant who said I should have a carpal tunnel release operation as soon as possible. He warned me that if left too long, it might not work, so I went on the emergency list and had the op last June 2006. It is a lot better but my hand still spasms and aches and I assume it won't get any better now. There is nothing that can be done for tennis elbow. Is there anything that can be done to help your RSI and what is it called medically, as RSI covers a multitude of ills. ? Penny |

I think I have tendinosis, just like my oldest son. Except he has more in his elbows, while mine is my
wrist and three fingers -- not my thumb. I'm pretty sure I don't have a carpal tunnel. What helps me is to not touch my computer mouse or keyboard.
And it is possible not to do that while using Dragon. But I sometimes need to rest my voice!

I have the tennis elbow according to my doc. But, I wear a wrist brace due to the thumb and wrist area having pain too.
My hubby had carpel tunnel syndrome surgery on his right hand. And a cortisone shot on the left. Both seems to have helped him. And the job change seems to be even better. He was a baker, I will never know how he continued working with the pain he had. he couldn't even unroll his balled up socks at night without horrific pain. My pain started after my diagnosis for FMS. But, I was a sales clerk for years, and waited tables when I was younger so I used my hands and arms alot. God bless |

There is many things you can do, Virginia. Using Dragon dictating, footmouse if you are able to sit, and
use saying a keyboard on the screen. Several alternatives!
